Wyandotte and Pelissier as sen on Google Streetview

An accident in Downtown Windsor Saturday night sent one woman to hospital.

Police say that a Mustang was turning from Wyandotte onto north bound Pelissier when it was broadsided by a 2012 Chrysler 300 that was traveling west bound on Wyandotte.  The impact sent the Mustang into a nearby flower planter.

The 20-year-old driver of the Mustang had to be extricated by Windsor Fire and was taken to hospital complaining of a sore neck. Both occupants of the Chrysler 300, a 24-year-old male and his female passenger were unhurt.

The driver of the Chrysler 300 was charged with disobeying a red light, and the female driving the Mustang was charged with not having any insurance on her vehicle.

The damage to her car was extensive and estimated to be in the area of $7,500. The damage to the concrete planter box was estimated at $2,500 dollars.
