Windsor Police are warning the public after a man from Woodstock, Ontario reportedly solicited for donations for a fake charity at local shopping areas.
The Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit are investigating after receiving several complaints regarding a man dressed up as Santa collecting money for charity at local shopping centers. The suspect is handing out pamphlets claiming to be collecting money for charity.
Police have found the ‘Bad Santa’ and questioned him about his activities in the Windsor area. The man is not being cooperative with investigators.
Police are reminding citizens to conscious of anyone soliciting for charitable organizations at this time of year.
