Amherstburg Police have discovered a massive drug operation after finding a vehicle in a ditch on Concession 8.

The events took place on November 13th at approximately 5:28am. Police responded to the area of Concession 8 near County Road 10 Town of Amherstburg for a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival patrol officers discovered several pounds of suspected marijuana in the car.

While investigating the circumstances surrounding the motor vehicle accident, officers uncovered what they’re terming a ‘massive’ drug operation, where several hundred pounds of suspected marijuana was found. Investigators say the location discovered appears to be a ‘processing plant’.

Police say total weight of the marijuana has yet to be determined.

Four males have been arrested in connection with the operation; a 32 year old Amherstburg man, a 25 year old Windsor man, a 33 year old Scarborough man, and a 38 year Scarborough man. The men are being held in custody on several drug related charges and will appear in court on November 16th.
