This morning the NHL Charity Hockey Game Charity Hockey Game announced that proceeds from tickets sold for the event will be going to SPARKLES From Above, a non-profit organization that works with “In Honour of the Ones We Love”. Sparkles assists children with cancer on their treatment journey through the purchase of equipment and supplies at Windsor’s Met Hospital.

“We’re happy to be part of this great hockey event in Windsor and Essex County.” said Marc Crevier, Director of SPARKLES From Above. “This event will help us get much needed equipment into Windsor, and also give us the opportunity to make Sparkle shine during the holiday season”.

Additionally, thirteen new players were added to the roster including Michael Leighton, John-Michael Liles, Mike Komisarek, Kyle Wellwood, and Matthew Lombardi. The full roster of the ever growing team of locked-out NHL players can be found online here.
