Windsor Police have requested warrants for the arrests a 17-year-old Windsor resident and an 18-year-old Windsor resident in connection to a home invasion.

Police say that on Monday they were called to a home in the 500 block of Pierre Avenue. They say that two boys were playing music in a bedroom shortly after 10pm. One was an 11-year-old boy who was visiting a neighbourhood friend when the incident occurred.

Police say that suddenly two suspects entered the residence through an open and unlocked door, and entered the bedroom and demanded cash and weed. One of the suspects brandished a black and silver handgun. The suspects made off with a cell phone and 3 baseball hats. The property and handgun were placed in a dark coloured  bag.

Witnesses outside reported the suspects fleeing the residence and were able to provide police with a name of one suspect and a nickname for the other involved suspect. Both suspects have since been identified by police. Police have attended known residences for the accused persons with negative results.

There were no injuries in relation to the incident.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident are asked to contact police at (519)-255-6700 Ex (4830) or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477)
