Windsor Police are actively investigating an incident where a senior citizen was found lying in the roadway after being hit by a car on Wednesday morning.

The senior, a 75-year-old man, was discovered in the middle of the road at 6:30am on Wednesday. The man had apparently been struck by a passing vehicle and was suffering from numerous injuries.

It was reported that a light-colored vehicle, possibly a Neon, left the area northbound shortly after the impact. Police do not know if this vehicle was involved in the incident.

The Windsor Police Service is asking anyone with information regarding the collision to call the Windsor Police Traffic Branch at 519-255-6700 ext 4211 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
