Windsor Police are hopeful the public may be able to provide details on a weekend shooting.

On Friday Police were called to Windsor Regional Hospital after a male attended with a gunshot wound to his left hip. Police spoke with the 22-year-old victim who would not provide a statement about his injury.

The victim indicated that he was from Toronto and that he was in Windsor staying with a friend named “Jordan” The victim can not recall where Jordan lives. The victim indicated that he met a girl named “Sarah” in a downtown club on Thursday evening. The victim advised that he took a cab to Sarah’s house from Jordan’s residence, but he can not recall her address but claims she lives in a small house with no front porch.

Police say that the victim claims that as he approached Sarah’s house and the front door opened, and that he we went inside and was jumped by three masked males, one who had a black handgun. A scuffle ensued and the victim had his pockets emptied. The victim was able to run away and heard two gunshots. He indicates that he felt immediate pain in his left buttocks. He advised that he ran until he found a cab. He indicates that the cab took him to the hospital.
