Windsor Police have arrested a 20 year old after a home invasion on Westminster Avenue.

On Sunday November 25th, Police responded around 8:10pm to the 1700 block of Westminster Avenue. Officers attending the scene found the residence to be in disarray. The 51 year old male resident was not injured but was visibly shaken by the incident. Investigation has revealed that two males presented themselves at the victims door. The victim answered the door and the two male suspects entered the residence uninvited. The victim was thrown to the ground. The suspects removed a small quantity of cigarettes, cash, and prescription medications and fled the scene. The suspects were described as:

1) Male 6′ tall, 180 – 190lbs, 18-20 years of age. Wearing a dark hooded coat with fur around the hood. Jacket was zipped up.

2) Male 5′ 10″ tall, 160 – 180 lbs, 18-20 years old wearing a red and white hat. A coat that may have also been red and white. Spoke with a deep hoarse voice.

Officers obtained detailed information from the victim. Detectives following up with the case conducted several interviews. Information obtained during the course of the investigation provided them with the name of two likely suspects.

Police have arrested and charged Matthew Drouillard, 20 years of age, of Windsor with Robbery, Forcible Confinement, Break and Enter, Possession of stolen property under $5000.00

Police have identified the second suspect who is currently at large. A warrant has been requested in relation to his arrest. He is a young person and can not be identified.

There is no indication that any weapons were used during this occurrence.
