Marentette Avenue and Ottawa Street as seen from Google Streetview

Just after 1:30am on Sunday, Windsor Police were called to a report of a stabbing in the area of Marentette Avenue and Ottawa Street. The 911 caller told police that he was stabbed but could not provide much else. Police found the 20-year-old victim waving down officers as they arrived. The male was found to have a fresh stab wound to his chest and was bleeding heavily.

Police say that the male was at a house party in the 1400 block of Elsmere Avenue. Witnesses described an altercation outside of the residence prior to police being called. The victim remains in hospital and is in critical but stable condition. His wound required surgery as his liver was lacerated.
