Made In Windsor Brings Craft Show To The Walkerville Brewery, This Weekend!

An annual holiday season tradition returns this weened to historic Walkerville. The Made in Windsor craft show brings together local artisans and shoppers in a festive, welcoming environment, and this year will be held inside the newly re-opened Walkerville Brewery during the popular Walkerville Annual Holiday Walkabout.

Organizer Christine Rideout-Arkel said that she had thought about skipping the show this year but several things fell into place to make the show a possibility. “Almost overnight I went from thinking there was no way I could do it to thinking there was no way I could not do it! The Walkerville Brewery became a viable and very attractive venue option, several people offered up their time to assist with the massive amount of behind-the-scenes work, and I was reminded that the wonderful Walkerville Annual Holiday Walk was taking place that same weekend in November.”

Rideout-Arkell hopes people will visit the sale for one-of-a-kind handmade gifts and then pop over to some of the other Walkerville businesses, “The entire neighbourhood will be filled with holiday fun, everything from sleigh rides and Santa to carolers and Christmas displays. Between Made in Windsor and all the other wonderful Walkerville shops, you could do your holiday gift-buying in one day!”

With over 30 vendors at each of the Friday and the Saturday sales, this is Made in Windsor’s largest handmade event and will include items like ceramics, jewelry, soap, purses, clothing, accessories, woodwork, papercraft, sculpture, leatherwork, stained glass, home décor and much more.

The Made in Windsor Evening Holiday Sale will take place at The Walkerville Brewery on Friday from 5pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 11am to 5pm. Admission to both days is free, although donations of canned good to the St. Mary’s Food Cupboard would be greatly appreciated.
