The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is looking for Windsor-Essex residents to volunteer for Winter Fest, a one day festival that is taking place in downtown Windsor on December 15th.
Winter Fest promises entertainment for people of all ages. Starting off at 12 noon with merchandising in vacant storefronts, wine fair and tastings, ice sculptures and a Santa Forest and followed by a Holiday Parade at 3pm.
The festival is seeking the support of local volunteers who will generously donate their time, talents, and energy to help present this great event. Volunteers aged 13+, will be asked to many positions including actors for inflatable balloon costumes, Santa’s helpers, float and balloon handlers, staffing the road barricades as well as general help with set-up and take down of the festival. High school students are also encouraged to participate and earn hours towards their community service involvement.
If you are interested in volunteering you can download the volunteer application form from the festival website here. Application forms can be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected] or dropped off at the DWBIA’s Offices located at 474 Ouellette Avenue.
