After hearing recent comments broadcast on ‘The Colbert Report’ regarding the City of Windsor, the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association today extended an invitation to American comedian Stephen Colbert to be the Grand Marshal of their Winter Fest Holiday Parade to be held in downtown Windsor on December 15th.
The Business Improvement Association said that they think this would be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our City and its tremendous assets, and is certain that many would come to the Parade for the opportunity to demonstrate good old-fashioned Canadian hospitality to Mr. Colbert.
“We warmly welcome Mr. Colbert to lead the Parade and go where no man has gone before,” Larry Horwitz, Board Chair for the Business Improvement Association , said in the news release.
The Winter Fest Holiday Parade is comprised of marching and steel bands, professional entertainers, equestrian units, balloons, dancers, super heroes and more. Commencing at 3pm on Saturday December 15th. The Parade will proceed north on Ouellette Avenue from Giles to Riverside Drive.
