Robber Forces Trash-Taking Employee Back Into Store To Open Till, On Jefferson

Macs on Jefferson as seen from Google Streetview

Windsor Police are investigating an early morning robbery at the Macs Milk located at 2606 Jefferson.

Police say that a 38-year-old store clerk was taking out the trash when a suspect approached him and ordered him back into the store. The suspect, who was armed with a knife, ordered the clerk to open the till and hand him the money.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene with some cash.

The suspect was described, as a male of unknown age or race, about 6 foot tall, wearing a green coat, jeans and a camouflage face mask. He was armed with what was described as a large knife.

The clerk was shaken but not harmed.

The police K-9 unit attempted a track in the area for the suspect but could not locate the suspect.

Police are asking anyone with information or who may know the identity of this individual to contact detectives at 255-6700 Ext 4830 or Call Crime Stoppers.
