Riverside Library is set to undergo $50,000 worth of renovation work, and in order to do so the library must shut down for a five days starting on Monday. Programs scheduled during the week have been cancelled but customers can still access the external book return which will be emptied daily.

Renovations at the Library, which is located at 6305 Wyandotte Street East, include the rearrangement of the circulation desk in order to provide more efficient service delivery, which will then allow library staff more to provide one-on-one assistance locating and accessing materials.

Structural work includes moving ductwork, new electrical wiring and updated cabling for information technology needs. Additionally, the renovation will facilitate installation of self-check out terminals for customer use.

The branch is scheduled to re-open on Saturday October 20th.
