Tecumseh OPP are investigating a break in to a home that resulted in up to $50,000 in jewelry being stolen.

OPP report that the break in occurred sometime between 11:07am and 11:55am on Tuesday October 23rd, in the 13,000 block of Riverside Drive East in Tecumseh.

Reports indicate the homeowner left the residence for a short period of time and when she returned home, she noticed that her exterior door frame was broken. The homeowner called police and noticed that her jewelry was missing. The estimated value of the stolen jewelry is between $25,000 and $50,000.
