MICHELE’S STORY:
I have struggled with my weight my entire life. At one point I did lose 62 pounds, but unfortunately have had ups and downs (more weight up than down). I have some aches and pains which I am sure are caused by me being unfit and overweight. I’m a teacher and I should be a role model to my students – by participating along with them during gym (I’m often unable to). I love travelling but I am very embarrassed when I wear a bathing suit to the beach or pool. It’s pretty sad when your 70 year old mother looks better than you do in a bathing suit! I’m tired of having to shop in the plus sized section or stores. I want to wear what everyone else is!
I should be chosen for this competition because I seriously want to make a change and I also want to prove people wrong. I am ready to be fit and stay fit. I’m tired of being known as the friendly fat girl. I want to be known as the fit, healthy and friendly girl! I promise to be fully committed to the program.
