ANGELA’S STORY:
Mother of 3 children. I have a 7 year old son, a 4 year old daughter, and a 2 year old daughter. I have been married to my husband for almost 11 years. I am currently working as the Windsor/Essex County’s Program Manager and Social Media Coordinator for the Life with a Baby Program, which is a Not-For- Profit program providing peer support for parents with children ages 0-6. I am a work at home mom, meaning that I care for my girls and work, simultaneously!
I have been on every diet known to man. From Weight Watchers (at least 20 times) to Calorie Counting, Cabbage Soup, HCG, Atkins, Herbal Magic and the list goes on (and on, and on).
I am currently registered in the Bariatric Weight Loss Program at Windsor Regional Hospital…in the very beginning stages. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY! I believe that it is a necessary and useful tool for some, but I know that I can get healthy without it.
This is something I not only want…but, NEED. I am at a point in my life where I need to do this for me first, as well as my family.
