Windsor has an ultra-successful Zombie Walk, and now a fundraising group is planning a Superhero Walk for the end of October.

Matthew House Windsor, a local organization that provides comfort and security for newly arrived refugee claimants in Windsor is organizing the walk which will take place on October 27th from 2pm – 4pm on Windsor’s Riverfront.

The group is hoping participants will “dress up like a Superhero and strut your stuff all the way down riverside”.

The family-friendly event is fueled by fundraising iniativies where top fundraising participants can receive among many Apple products including iPads, MacBook Airs and iPods.

Organizers plan to give out prizes to the best dressed kid and best dressed adult.

They say, “you don’t have to dress up as a superhero to participate, however it would be pretty awesome to see a bunch of superheroes, young and old, walking down the waterfront! We hope you can make it out.”

To get your pledge sheet or for more information on how to participate, contact arica@matthewhousewindsor.org by email.
