Police have arrested a 55-year-old man who broke in a house in the 600 block of Partington between Wyandotte Street West and Rooney Street.

At approximately 10:40am Wednesday, Windsor Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Partington Avenue for a report of a break and enter in progress.

A witness observed a suspicious looking male around the residence and called police when he saw the male climb head-first through a window.

The suspect left out the front door of the residence and began to walk south on Partington.

The witness followed the suspect from a distance and relayed information to police dispatchers.

Police arrived a short time later, found the suspect and arrested him. Arresting officers determined that the suspect had stolen a quantity of jewelry from the home.

Eric Lawson, a 55-year-old from Windsor is charged with Break and Enter, Theft, and Possession of Stolen Property.
