Windsor RCMP officers have seized a quantity of drugs including oxycodone pills in a bust carried out on Thursday on the streets of Windsor.

At approximately 10am on September 6th members of the Windsor RCMP observed an individual meet with several people and exchange cash near the intersection of Wyandotte and Goyeau in Downtown Windsor.

Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 34 year old Windsor man carrying 67 Oxycodone pills, approximately 22 grams of cannabis marijuana, $500 cash, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.

The RCMP say a 34 year old Windsor man faces two charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Schedule I and II) and charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Schedule I and II).

“The illegal sale of pharmaceuticals and other controlled substances at any level pose serious threats to our community’s well being. The RCMP’s commitment to ensuring safe homes and communities includes combating drug trafficking at all levels,” said Sgt. Dave Watts, the officer in Charge of the Windsor RCMP Detachment.
