Windsor Police have released further details concerning a stabbing that took place in the area of Wyandotte and Parent at 10:50pm last night.

Police say they were dispatched to Wyandotte Street East and Parent Avenue around 10:50pm last night for a report of a stabbing.

Police arrived moments later and discovered a 27-year-old male on the roadway bleeding as the result of being stabbed. The victim received stab wounds to his back, face, right arm and left hand. Police say the wound to his back punctured his lung and may require surgery. The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance.

Officers obtained information on the suspect and attended his last known address. Officers discovered a blood trail that led to his residence. The suspect was arrested without incident.
