Police Looking for Acer Laptop In Relation to Louis Street Homicide

Windsor Police are looking for a stolen laptop in relation to the ongoing homicide investigation of Dale Allen Young who found dead in his home located at 828 Louis Avenue on July 28th after a fire was put out in the home.

Mr. Young was pronounced dead at the scene and police say that signs of trauma were evident.

The police investigation has revealed that a computer belonging to the victim had been stolen from his residence.

This computer has not been recovered and investigators are requesting the public’s help in locating it. The computer is a small Acer Aspire Netbook.

It is 10.1 inches in width and is black in colour with grey lettering across the front.

The manufacturer’s name “acer” is on the top left corner. The model name “ASPIRE one” is in larger letters across the front with a circular water rippling pattern.

Police say that a member of the public may have received this item and have it in his or her possession without knowing it is related to a homicide investigation. Someone may have information regarding persons in possession of this type of computer.

Investigators request anyone with information regarding this computer and/or the murder of Dale Young to contact the Windsor Police Major Crime Unit at 519-255-6700 ext 4390 or Crimestoppers.
