Windsor’s west end will be getting a brand new public grade school to replace the aging H.D. Taylor school at 1275 Campbell Avenue in West Windsor

The new school will be built on land behind the current school that abuts Campbell next to the Windsor Public Library branch.

The school board is currently undergoing site plan approval with the City of Windsor and is expected to put out construction tenders in November.

The new school will be 54,190 square feet in size, will feature 78 parking spaces and 10 bicycle spaces.

Construction on the new school is planned to start in January 2013, with a tentative opening of January 2014.

Once the new school is open the existing H.D. Taylor will be demolished.
