Chippewa and Peter (Google Streetview)

On Sunday September 23rd at approximately 6:35am, Windsor Police were dispatched to assist ambulance in the area of Peter Street and Chippawa Street.

EMS personnel indicated that they were calling to report that they were treating a 41 year old male who had a large laceration to his right arm and a smaller one to his left knee. The male indicated that he was assaulted at another location.

Investigation has revealed that the victim was visiting his girlfriend at an apartment building in the 3400 block of Peter Street. The two had a verbal argument and his girlfriend stabbed him with a kitchen knife in the arm. The victim pushed the suspect away and as he did this, he received a cut to his knee. The victim fled the apartment and attended a friend’s residence who called ambulance.

The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance with a non life threatening injury to his arm.

A 31 year old woman has been charged with Aggravated Assaulted.
