Windsor Police have arrested and charged a youngster after he pointed what appeared at first to be a real gun at a security guard at the Children’s Aid Society on Riverside Drive.

On Wednesday August 15th at around 3:38pm, a youth entered the Children’s Aid Society building and approached the security desk.

A 23-year-old male security guard was seated at the desk. When he looked up the youth pointed a black toy handgun at him and told the guard to “freeze”.

The security guard was startled, but soon realized the gun was not real.

On Thursday the youth was arrested by Windsor Police officers and faces a charge of possessing a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.
