3900 Block of Seminole Street (Google Street View)
Windsor Police were dispatched to a parking lot in the 3900 block of Seminole Street around 1am this morning for reports of a fight.
A 39 year old male was transported to hospital for non life threatening injuries that were received during the fight.
At hospital the male advised EMS personnel that he had left his 3 year old daughter home alone.
Police were notified and went to check on the well being of the child around 2am. Arriving officers discovered the front door was unlocked and found a 3-year-old child home alone with the family dog. Police say she was apparently watching television.
Children’s Aid was notified and attended to ensure proper care for the child in need of protection.
A 39 year old Windsor man was arrested and is facing a charge of “Abandoning a Child”.
