
The RCMP have a Windsor man in custody for trafficking a large amount of oxycodone pills.
On Saturday August 11th, members of the RCMP Windsor Detachment executed a search warrant and arrested a Windsor man for allegedly selling pharmaceutical drugs.
The RCMP say their investigation began in the fall of 2011 and lead them to the Windsor man’s Rivard Avenue residence where they seized a large large quantity of oxycodone pills.
Ellis Anderson, a 46-year-old has been charged with a count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Anderson will appear in Windsor court on September 10th.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
“Drugs destroy lives, homes and communities,” stated Cpl Tim Fiset of the Windsor RCMP Detachment. Fiset added, “The RCMP is committed to keeping our communities safe through the enforcement of the laws of Canada”.
