Windsor Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Windsor’s Little Italy.
Firefighters were called to an apartment building at 815 Erie Street just before 3am this morning for smoke billowing from the building.
Upon arriving on scene, crews determined that garbage was burning in the hallway.
Windsor Police officers determined that after an argument occured between people in one of the apartments, a person was asked to leave the apartment.
About 5 minutes later the fire alarm in the building went off and the residents discovered a small amount of paper/garbage set on fire in the hallway just outside the doorway.
The Windsor Police Arson Squad is investigating and no one was injured.
