In the early evening hours of Monday officers assigned to the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit were conducting an investigation regarding a Windsor man in possession of a quantity of prescription pain medication and crack cocaine when they located the male in the 600 block of Wyandotte Street West exiting the Windsor Market store.

The male attempted to run from officers, but he was quickly arrested without further incident.

A subsequent search of the male revealed he was in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and prescription medication valued at $215.00.

A 47-year-old male from Windsor is in custody facing five counts of possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and one count of failing to comply with a condition of Judicial Release.
