Around 2am this morning Windsor Police officers on patrol in the 600 block of Goyeau Street in Downtown Windsor saw a red pick-up truck travelling northbound on Goyeau Street at a high rate of speed.

Police pulled the pick-up truck over and discovered one of the passengers attempting to conceal an open can of beer.

As a result of a roadside screening test, the 26 year-old male driver was issued a three-day licence suspension. He was also issued a Part III Summons for driving while under suspension and arrested for failing to comply with a condition of judicial release.

The passenger was issued a provincial offence notice for consuming liquor in other than licensed premises, residence or private place. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
