Firefighters battled a massive blaze at two houses on Albert Street in the Drouillard/Ford City area early this morning.
Several people have been treated by EMS for smoke inhalation an one person was transported to hospital.
Fire broke out at a house in the 1000 block of Albert around 5:45am and quickly spread to the neighbouring house.
Additional fire crews were thrice sent to the scene to fight the blaze that is the biggest for Windsor since April’s Dollarama fire.
A third house was briefly scorched by flames but damage is minimal.
Fire officials called “fire out” around 11am. There is no word yet on how the blaze started; damage is extensive.
