On Monday evening, Windsor Police were called to the Food Basics store located at 880 Goyeau Street in Downtown Windsor for a report of a stolen bicycle.
The man who called the Police to report the stolen bicycle had left the scene, and was later found by officers at the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Elliott Street. The investigation conducted by officers found that the caller had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Mission, British Columbia for a charge of sexual assault.
The 24-year-old male caller was arrested by officers and will be returned to British Columbia.
There’s no word on what happened to the bicycle.
