On Wednesday, Windsor Police officers responded to Saci Salon at 461 Erie Street East for a report of a broken window by a man driving a black Jeep.

Officers arrived and found the black Jeep driving northbound on Highland Avenue. Police say their officers activated the cruiser’s emergency lights and the suspect vehicle suddenly accelerated toward the police vehicle.

The Jeep drove to the front of the police cruiser and then drove off the roadway, narrowly missing the cruiser. The black Jeep continued to flee officers. Police engaged in a short pursuit which ended when the Jeep struck a parked vehicle and a pole, preventing the Jeep from being driven any further.

The driver was arrested after a brief struggle with officers.

A 48 year old Windsor man is facing charges.

These last two months was to show the public what I have been living with the last 6yrs behind closed doors, walking on egg shells day after day year after year. Why did it take me so long to leave him you may be asking yourselves, its because I had to recover from having 3rd stage cancer, I don’t think its over for me yet he will find a new way to get to me. All I want is to make a living without having to worry each day what I’m going to have to deal with on a daily basis. He smashed my window’s 7 times & I had to replace my front door twice, even with camera’s he still went ahead with the crime.
