Plymouth Drive as seen on Google Maps

A 65-year-old woman escaped any injury after her car left the road and struck a hydro pole, Saturday.

Police say the woman was driving her 1999 Oldsmobile westbound on Plymouth when a bee entered her car and stung her on her shoulder causing her to lose control of her car.

Her vehicle careened off the road and it struck a utility pole, which fell down onto her car causing approximately $10,000 in damage.

Damage to the light pole was estimated to be approximately $2,000 dollars. No charges will be laid.
