Admission to Canada South Science City this weekend is free in celebration of the newly opened Windsor-Essex Parkway exhibit.

This exhibit tells the story of how the Parkway was created and features the themes of ecosystems, active transportation, traffic movement, and construction.

The 3000 square feet exhibit features an 85 foot hand-drawn chalk road map on the floor created by local artists who used chalk to hand-draw a route that mimics the Parkway corridor on the floor. Along the way, travellers have the chance to stop and learn about various aspects of the Parkway that relate to the exhibit’s themes.

The exhibit is expected to be in place through to 2015 and it will be updated as the Parkway project continues toward completion.

Summer hours at Science City are Mondays through Saturdays from 10am to 5pm. Science City is located at 930 Marion Avenue.
