Police Investigating After Knifepoint Robbery on Ouellette

Last Friday night at around 10:13pm, Windsor Police responded to a convenience store in the 700 block of Ouellette Avenue (between Elliott and Tuscarora) for a robbery call.

Upon arrival, responding officers were met by an employee of the store who told them that moments earlier, a lone male suspect wearing a black balaclava, covering his face, approached the counter, brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register.

The clerk complied and gave the suspect a quantity of cash. The suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot Southbound on Ouellette Avenue towards Elliott Street.

The 45 year old male clerk was not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9″ in height with a thin build, wearing a black balaclava, a blue long sleeved shirt and dark pants.
