A hilly and recently redone segment of Windsor’s Riverfront will be getting a new playground

With recent news about the City of Windsor pulling out unsafe playground equipment from many city parks, City Council will be asked to approve the purchase of new equipment for three playgrounds next week.

For a total cost of $520,609.50 Captain Wilson Park, South Cameron Woodlot and the Riverfront between the Bert Weeks Fountain and the Retention Treatment Basin will all see new play structures.

All three parks will be barrier free and with the approval of the tender by Council, instillation should begin in the near future.

Yet they are considering pulling out that wonderful playground at the river by the pumping station? We use that playground all the time for the scenery and nice padded play area!

I wonder if they will upgrade the bike paths as well in this area, or add them so everyone may access them.
