Just before 10pm Monday police say that a 22-year-old was robbed at knifepoint while she was doing her laundry in a laundromat 1600 block of Tecumseh Road East.

The woman told police that she was approached in the laundromat by a male who brandished a knife and demanded money. The woman surrendered her purse and the male exited the rear (North) door of the business.

The woman ran to a convenience store across the street to call 911.

The suspect is described as male white, 35 years old, medium build, red/brown hair, dark stubble, 5’10”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood on – pockets on the side, no glasses.
