The Palace Building on Ouellette Avenue Under Construction

Around 2pm today Windsor Police were called to the Palace Theatre building in Downtown Windsor for a bomb threat report.  When police arrived, the building had already been evacuated as a precaution, by those working on renovations.

Police say that some unknown person had scrawled on the exit doors about eye level the words “Bomb in Palace”

Police could not determine how long the writing was there and  said that it could have been there for only hours or even days or weeks.

There was no forced entry into the building however, it was checked and nothing suspicious or of concern was located.  No one was specifically threatened.  The building was cleared by 3pm.
