This morning, a 77-year-old woman was attempting to park her car in parking lot of the Tim Horton’s store at the corner of County Road 19 and County Road 42 in Tecumseh when it lunged forward and struck the building. A 76-year-old male customer and a 20-year-old employee of the store were hurt in the incident.

Police say it appears she was having a medical emergency.

An OPP police officer volunteering with Tim Horton’s Camp Day, along with a civilian, quickly assisted in getting Emergency Medical Services and police to attend, as well as assisting with the injured.

All parties were taken to Windsor area hospitals with undisclosed injuries. No charges have been laid, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, to contact Provincial Constable Ben Metcalfe at the Tecumseh Detachment at 519-735-2424
