At the conclusion of this school year, Oakwood Public School in South Windsor will be closing, and on Sunday the community is invited to drop by the school to celebrate its 48 year history with an Open House and a Closing Ceremony.
The Open House begins at 1pm and visitors will be welcome to tour the school and visit rooms created to honour students from the past five decades.
The Closing Ceremony will commence at 3pm with student entertainment and special guest speakers including former Principal Harold Sweetman and teacher Heather Lokun, who was in the school’s first Kindergarten class back in 1964.
The school is located at 2520 Cabana Road.
