Tuesday evening an OPP Constable was conducting patrols as part of the OPP’s Road Safety Week.

During the course of the patrols the officer pulled over a vehicle travelling on the 401 at an extremely high rate of speed. Police say the driver was also on a cell phone while flying down the 401.

As a result a 52 year old Windsor man has been charged with Stunt Driver (speeding in excess of 50 km/h over the speed limit) and Driving with a and held communication device. The fines for these offences can be in excess of $3,000

The driver of the vehicle had his motor vehicle impounded for seven days, authority the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
