A long-abandoned home behind Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital on Goyeau Street has been demolished and work is beginning on a new office building at the site.

The area is protected by the Howard-Eire Improvement Program that was established in 1987. This Program limits demolitions and development within the local area unless individually approved by the City.

A new one story office building will be constructed behind this property. The land where the house sat will be used to construct a 10 car parking lot.
