Construction is into its final stages of the relocation of Trillium Court, a public housing area in LaSalle that has to be demolished to make room for the W-E Parkway. Finishing touches such as landscaping and driveway paving are underway.
An entirely new subdivision had to be constructed right across and down the street from the old location. Fifty-six residents will be moved to new houses which will have the same accommodations as the ones they are currently living in.
Construction began in June of 2011, and the Trillium Court community is expected to officially move in sometime in late spring.
