Article submitted by The Lance’s Natasha Marar:

What is an idea? “It’s something that can inspire. An idea can enact change. It can be the root of something wonderful”.

On April 18, The Lance, the University of Windsor student newspaper, will release their premiere Ideas Issue. It’s all about ideas for changing Windsor. Urban planning, community involvement, social issues, the environment, the economy, arts and culture and many more are all going to be covered. We want to talk about Windsor’s future. No idea is too outlandish or too small.

Windsorites, do you have ideas about your city? How it looks? How it runs? Do you know about a person or group that is helping transform our city? We want your ideas. The Lance is inviting current and former Windsorites to submit letters to our city. They can be love letters, poems, hate mail, drawings/comics, etc. Submissions can be a few sentences or a few hundred words, so get creative with your responses.

Fill out the form online by April 14 to have your idea included in this special issue! We’ve supplied a few questions to get you started, but feel free to address other ideas in the submission box. Please submit a new form for each question you respond to.

If you have any pictures or drawings of Windsor or ones related to the idea or topic you submitted, please forward them to [email protected] Photos should be in JPG or PNG format and a minimum of 300 dpi.

If you have any questions, please contact Natasha Marar, Editor-in-Chief, at [email protected]

Thanks for contributing. We can’t wait to share your ideas with the rest of Windsor.
