Jamie Waldron, a Harrow born butcher passionate about promoting local, naturally raised meats, has been orchestrating some unique dinners at Jack’s Gastropub in Kingsville. Jamie demonstrates how to break down an animal into basic cuts. A four course dinner is served periodically throughout his presentation.

The past two dinners, one focusing on pork, and the other on ducks and geese, have been sold out to appreciative patrons. The next dinner will be April 23rd for lamb, followed by a beef dinner May 28.

Jack’s Gastropub is no stranger to promoting local agricultural products. They have long supported local wines, and have just recently started promoting craft beers. A monthly beer club is offered where 20-25 feature beers are available paired with complimentary food items. All beers are from micro breweries mostly in Ontario, with a few from Quebec.

Apple and apricot beers will be served on a seasonal basis, with some darker beers available in the winter. To obtain a ticket for one of Jamie’s dinners, you can call Jack’s Gastropub at 519-733-6900.
