Fencing is up around the location for the new Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor site and work is moving into high gear for the spring construction season.
Construction of the aquatic facility is planned to progress from this point forth in time for the International Children’s Games in August 2013.
Seventeen thousand linear feet of fencing will enclose the 144,000-square-foot pool complex. Work has begun on tearing up asphalt along Chatham and Pitt Streets and former City of Windsor parking lots which the pool site will occupy. Once complete, construction crews will begin digging foundation and basement for the complex.
