As the Art Gallery of Windsor prepares for the next phase in the soon-to-be-extinct gift shop, windsoriteDOTca investigates. With nothing yet set in stone, the City of Windsor is hoping to change the space into a children’s resource centre.

The gift shop officially closing March 18th will be missed by many; so don’t lose your chance on stocking up on some creative postcards and unique jewellery all on clearance.

“We appreciate your continued support as the AGW moves forward with the formation of a new operating model. During this transition, the Gallery is working towards future sustainability by examining how the Gallery generates resources and how they are allocated. This analysis is necessary to ensure that our mandate of exhibiting art, managing the collection, and art education is maintained and positioned for stability and growth.”

ShopAGW will close its doors for good on Sunday March 18th.

The month of March also marks the beginning of free admission (everyday!!) at the Art Gallery of Windsor. Starting the 21st, it is one of the many new changes Windsorites have to look forward to.  For more information, upcoming shows, and workshops please visit their website.
