Take Transit Windsor to the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit

The 2012 North American International Auto Show opens to the public Saturday and once again Transit Windsor is offering their ‘Auto Show Express’ package.

For just $19.00 the ‘Express’ package provides direct door-to-door service to Cobo Center. Express packages will be sold daily at the Windsor International Transit Terminal from 7am until 9pm and at Transit Centre, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 4pm.

‘Express’ packages may also be purchased at the five City Customer Care Centres: Adie Knox Herman Recreation Complex, Forest Glade Community Centre, Gino & Liz Marcus Community Complex, Optimist Community Centre, and the South Windsor Recreation Complex.

If you wish to purchase tunnel bus tickets only, the cost is $8.00 roundtrip or $4.00 for one-way travel. All tickets are sold in Canadian funds.

Tunnel bus service is augmented with additional buses to Cobo Center, on demand, during peak travel times. Fully accessible service is provided and detailed information is available by calling customer service at 519.944.4111 or 311. Buses leave from the downtown transit terminal located at 300 Chatham Street West, according to the current timetable:

  • January 14 & 21 – Saturday schedule
  • January 15 & 22 – Sunday schedule
  • January 16 through 20 – Weekday schedule

The Auto Show show runs from January 14th to January 22nd. Doors open daily at 9am and close at 10pm except on the last day when it closes at 7pm. There is no admittance to the show one hour prior to closing.

Proof of citizenship is required when crossing the Windsor-Detroit border.
