On Saturday, January 28th, The Dugout (300 Ouellette Ave.) hosted a show of Windsor’s punk rock supergroup, Magnificent Bastards.

With members from bands such at The Spys, The Hard-Tops, The Tumours, and The Hung Jury, there is a lot of experience on that stage, and it certainly shows.

In the playing, song writing, and performance, it is obvious that Magnificent Bastards are not playing their first show. The high-energy that is brought about by old-school style punk rock is complimented by an enthusiastic stage show and a, dare I say it, magnificent sound.

Audience members were singing and dancing along as the band rolled through a set list of covers and originals from their debut, self-titled album that was released in September of 2011.

Five independently talented musicians that when put together create a tight arrangement of fun and exciting punk rock and roll, Magnificent Bastards are certainly worth checking out the next time they play.
